Love the podcast guys! Note about Itunes black music month section- I did see a section for black rock when I looked a couple of nights ago. It had Hendrix, Fishbone, Death & a couple of other albums. Not a huge selection, but it’s something! I was actually surprised to see it. Congrats to the new addition to the family
No Living Color? Not good enough!
Thanks guys for a great podcast, and a terrific episode about Gil Scott-Heron. As someone who lives in Australia, all I knew about Scott-Heron was the obvious (The Television Will Not Be Televised, his new album and, sadly, his battle with drugs). Since he passed away, I’ve read and/or heard a few memorials to him, but none so personal as that of yours. Thank you for bringing to my attention the depth and breadth of his work and influence. Also, please could you add a listing of the music used in this episode? It would be greatly appreciated. In your time though, as I know you blokes are busy.
Ask and you shall receive. I’d like to start doing musical gudes for every episode anyway and this is a great place to start. Lookout for that coming in the next few minutes.
